Paris (6th), France: September, 2006. In five days I broke a Leica MP (shutter wore out) and the M6TTL (shutter wore out). The trusty Nikon FM2’s shutter was fried, too. Every once in a while I’d have to coax it shut with my thumbnail. It’s loud. But I knew I wanted this photograph. Yes, she heard it. Yes, she gave me a look. I smiled. I think she needed one. Nikon FM2. Zeiss ZF 1.4/50. Ilford Delta. Way better lab scan. Funny that at this time my primary lab merged with another lab I didn’t like. Since I had 50 or so rolls I started looking for alternatives. Nardulli wanted us$30/roll for processing and scanning (small scans). I said “You’re crazy.” They said, “We’re Nardulli.” Nadulli went out of business, too.
